Reigniting Meaningful Purpose in Work and Business: Anita Kandera’s Impact Story

November 18, 2024  |  From Business to Purpose: How the GLS Transformed Anita’s Life and Leadership

Stories of transformation through the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) are a powerful reminder of the impact we have in the lives of individuals and communities. This month, we share the inspiring story of Anita Kandera, a passionate entrepreneur, mentor, and GLS leader from Čakovec, Croatia.

Anita, 38, leads a life filled with purpose and a commitment to balancing her roles as a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and servant leader. Together with her husband, she is raising their 11-year-old son from his previous marriage, alongside a rescue dog who is a beloved part of the family.

As an entrepreneur, Anita has over a decade of experience in digital marketing and sales. She runs her own business, offers mentorship to women in business, and leads the marketing efforts for the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) in Croatia. Additionally, Anita serves as the Marketing Director for Europe with the Global Leadership Network. Her passion for empowering individuals, particularly women, is evident in her work. She organizes gatherings for women entrepreneurs and provides time-management training to organizations focused on educating entrepreneurs in Croatia. Through leadership, personal development, and faith-driven insights, Anita has made it her mission to help others grow and thrive.

Anita’s journey with the GLS began in 2019, and she has had the privilege of attending the Summit in Chicago twice. Her involvement with GLS has played a significant role in her personal and professional development, shaping her leadership approach and fueling her desire to make a difference in her community.

Her favorite scripture, Galatians 3:28, reflects her belief in unity and equality: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” This verse is a reminder of the power of collective leadership and the importance of seeing everyone as equals in the eyes of God.

When asked about her prayer for other leaders in the GLS family, Anita shared a heartfelt message: “I pray that every GLS leader regularly reminds themselves of why they do what they do and never forgets the much bigger impact they have than they may see or hear. Because even one small, ordinary, lost girl in Croatia once found her way back to the flock because other people – other leaders – did what they believed in. They shared God’s Word through various platforms, and in different ways, in ways that I could relate to. May they be reminded of how God can use each one of them.”

Anita’s story is a testament to the transformative power of leadership that is rooted in faith and purpose. Through her work with the GLS and her commitment to empowering others, she continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of those around her.
