What happens when inspiration meets purpose? For Dr. Marcela Šperanda from Osijek, Croatia, that moment came thirteen years ago at the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) in Zagreb—and it changed the trajectory of her life.

A veterinarian by profession, university professor, mother of seven, and grandmother of three, Marcela walked into GLS in 2012 not knowing what to expect. What she encountered was a powerful gathering of people who lived out their values with humility, generosity, and clarity. That experience planted a seed of vision and belief: “Everything is possible.”

Today, Marcela is not only a professor at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek, but also the founder of Terrapia Skincare, a company that produces natural cosmetics infused with zeolite. Yet, this venture is about much more than skincare—Marcela envisioned a hub for holistic care and community connection. Her goal? To offer a space where others could find support for emotional, spiritual, and practical challenges.

What began as a simple inspiration at GLS has grown into a movement of compassion. Through her story, Marcela shows how leadership can be deeply human, anchored in faith, and committed to community.

She reflects, “I’m not sure what will happen next… but I believe in signs and guidance. God will show me the way.”
